With a hardness rating and abrasion resistance that approaches diamond, the wear components on this SlurryFlo control valve (i.e. gate, seat plate and bore liner) are made of Sintered Tungsten Carbide.
Our proprietary grade has an HRA hardness of 89, and a compressive strength of 490,000 PSI. We also use an elevated amount of Nickel for our binder, which provides excellent corrosion resistance and increased toughness.
Furthermore, the average grain size is 1-3 micron, resulting in a trim that resists wear and impact incredibly well. SlurryFloโs tungsten carbide shines in the harshest of mining applications.
